  • Higher student achievement and motivation
  • Improved school climate and culture
  • Stronger home-school partnerships
  • Enhanced community connections

School Site Council (SSC)

Take a leadership role in shaping your school's future. The School Site Council is a collaborative team of parents, staff, and community members who:

  • Review and evaluate school programs and budgets
  • Develop the School Plan for Student Achievement
  • Make recommendations for school improvement
  • Represent the voice of families and the community in important decisions

This is an excellent opportunity for parents who want to have a meaningful impact on school policies and direction. Interested? Contact your student's school to learn about current openings and meeting schedules.

• Ensure English learner families have a voice in educational decisions

• Help bridge cultural and linguistic gaps between home and school

Your perspective and advocacy can make a real difference for students navigating language learning while pursuing academic success. Ready to help? Contact your student's school for more information about ELAC participation.
