Student Support Services

The Student Support Services department is dedicated to enhancing the educational experience for all KVUSD students. Our team works directly with schools, families, and community partners to ensure every student receives the support needed to succeed academically and personally.

What We Do

We focus on:

  • Boosting academic achievement for all students, with specialized attention to students with disabilities, foster youth, low-income students, and English Learners
  • Creating positive school cultures and welcoming climates for students, staff, parents, and foster parents
  • Eliminating obstacles that prevent regular school attendance
  • Ensuring all students receive a well-rounded, high-quality education

Our Approach

Our department takes a collaborative approach, working closely with teachers, administrators, families, and community partners to coordinate resources and implement effective support strategies. We believe that when students' needs are met holistically, they are better positioned to engage with learning and succeed in school.

Through targeted interventions, resource coordination, and ongoing support, we strive to help every KVUSD student overcome challenges and embrace educational opportunities.
