Intradistrict Transfer
If you live within district boundaries but your student would like to attend a KVUSD school outside of their local attendance area, you must complete an intradistrict transfer request form (even if your student has been attending an out-of-area school). Transfer request forms are due May 31, 2025.
We understand this may be an adjustment for some families, and we will try to accommodate everyone's requests, but we are legally and ethically bound to follow our board policy and California Education Code to be sure all students have equal access to learning opportunities.
Important Information:
- All requests are due May 31, 2025, and it is something you will need to request every year.
- If it is granted, please understand that you are responsible for providing transportation to and from your child's school site, and, if attendance becomes an issue, the district can revisit the Intradistrict Request.
- If, at any time during the school year, the school site reaches or exceeds enrollment capacity, your child may be moved back to his or her school of residence.
