Kelseyville Unified School District, in partnership with Sonoma State University and neighboring districts, is launching a Teacher Residency Program for the 2026–2027 school year!

We are currently recruiting individuals interested in becoming elementary, middle, or high school teachers to join this unique, hands-on pathway into the profession.

Program Highlights

  • $35,000 stipend paid directly to you in monthly installments
  • Mentor teacher support – Work side-by-side with a highly qualified classroom teacher, gradually taking on more responsibility throughout the year
  • Supportive cohort model – Learn and grow alongside a group of teacher residents
  • One-year credential program – Earn your teaching credential in one academic year, with the option to add a master’s degree in just one additional year
  • Flexible learning options – Combination of local in-person seminars (Lake County), online coursework through Sonoma State, and optional Saturday classes at Mendocino College
  • Bilingual authorization opportunity – Candidates fluent in English and Spanish may earn a bilingual authorization alongside their credential
