Kelseyville Unified School District, in partnership with Sonoma State University and neighboring districts, is launching a Teacher Residency Program for the 2026–2027 school year!
We are currently recruiting individuals interested in becoming elementary, middle, or high school teachers to join this unique, hands-on pathway into the profession.
Program Highlights
- $35,000 stipend paid directly to you in monthly installments
- Mentor teacher support – Work side-by-side with a highly qualified classroom teacher, gradually taking on more responsibility throughout the year
- Supportive cohort model – Learn and grow alongside a group of teacher residents
- One-year credential program – Earn your teaching credential in one academic year, with the option to add a master’s degree in just one additional year
- Flexible learning options – Combination of local in-person seminars (Lake County), online coursework through Sonoma State, and optional Saturday classes at Mendocino College
- Bilingual authorization opportunity – Candidates fluent in English and Spanish may earn a bilingual authorization alongside their credential
