Food Services

KVUSD’s Food Services Department strives to provide healthy, nutritious meals to all of our students daily. We are a Provision 2 district which allows us to provide free meals to all of our students.

We still scratch cook, which means the majority of our meals are homemade so that we can provide wonderful meals to our students while meeting all of the current CDE guidelines. We also try to interact with our students so that we can receive feedback on meals along with their likes and dislikes.

KVUSD's Wellness Policy & Guide

KVUSD is committed to providing school environments that promote and protect children's health, well-being, and ability to learn. We believe that healthy students are better learners, and that the habits formed during the school years can last a lifetime.

Our Wellness Policy supports healthy eating and physical activity while conveying positive, consistent messages to all students in accordance with current law. Through this policy, we aim to empower students with the knowledge and behaviors they need to thrive — not just in the classroom, but throughout their lives.

Below you will find our Wellness Policy Resource Guide and the District's Wellness Policy for your reference.
