Meet Our Principal
It is an honor to welcome you to Kelseyville High School as your new principal for the 2026-27 school year. With nearly 30 years in Lake County classrooms and schools, this community has always felt like home to me, and I'm grateful for the chance to serve KHS families and students.
Kelseyville High School has a proud tradition of dedicated staff and a school community that shows up for its students. As Knights, our students carry forward a legacy of hard work, resilience, and pride in who they are and where they come from. I'm committed to building on that foundation; supporting excellent teaching, celebrating student achievement, and making sure every young person who walks through our doors feels prepared for what comes next, whether that's college, career, or whatever path they choose.
Together, we can create a school where students feel challenged, supported, and genuinely known, where staff, families, and the community all pull in the same direction for our kids. I look forward to working alongside this incredible staff and getting to know our students and families in the year ahead.
If you have any questions or would like to connect, please don't hesitate to reach out at 707-279-4923.
Warm regards,
Stephanie Wayment, Kelseyville High School Principal
About Principal Wayment
Principal Stephanie Wayment brings nearly 30 years of classroom and administrative experience across Lake County to Kelseyville High School. Her career began in the late 1990s at Kelseyville Elementary School, where she worked as a bilingual aide in a kindergarten classroom while completing her bachelor's degree in education — a starting point that has shaped her lasting commitment to Lake County's Spanish-speaking students and families.
She went on to serve as a classroom teacher, followed by a year and a half at Konocti Unified School District and eight years at Lakeport Unified School District, where she focused on reading fluency, instructional coaching, and English Language Learner coordination for kindergarten through 12th grade. She then spent eight years at the Lake County Office of Education, rising to senior director of educational resources and accountability, where she oversaw English Language Arts, English Language Development, the Local Control Accountability Plan, and principal coaching, while contributing to state-level accountability policy. Most recently, she spent 10 years at Upper Lake Unified School District.
Wayment approaches her leadership with humility and a strong belief in collaboration: administrators support staff, and staff support students. She is committed to being a visible, accessible presence on campus and to ensuring every student and family, regardless of background, feels welcomed, valued, and supported.
