Instruments for Students
All instruments are provided through the district at no cost to families. Students will have their instrument for the entire school year!
How Students Join Band
- Introduction Presentation
During the first week of school, our music teacher visits all fifth grade classrooms to present an exciting introduction to band. Students learn what being in band means and receive an interest letter to take home. - Return Interest Letter
Students interested in joining band return their signed interest letter, indicating they're ready to begin their musical journey. - Instrument Demonstration Day
Interested students are invited to a special instrument demonstration event where they can see, hear, and try different band instruments. Each student selects their top three choices to try out. - Choose Your Instrument
After trying their top three choices, students decide which instrument they want to learn for the school year. The music teacher helps guide students to the best fit based on their interests and abilities. - Instrument Assignment
Instruments are assigned and provided to students through the district. Students receive their instrument to use throughout the entire school year as they develop their musical skills!
