MOVIE NIGHT MAGIC – THANK YOU!
A huge thank you to our incredible PTO for putting on an awesome movie night last week! It was so great seeing everyone together, and we're grateful to every family who came out to support our school.
READ ACROSS AMERICA SPIRIT WEEK – FEB. 23 -27
Get ready for a week of books, costumes, and Dr. Seuss-inspired fun! Below are the dress-up day themes:
- Monday, Feb. 23 – Cat in the Hat & Fox in Socks Day: Break out your craziest hats and wildest socks!
- Tuesday, Feb. 24 – Thing One & Thing Two Day: Coordinate with a friend and twin it up!
- Wednesday, Feb. 25 – The Lorax Day: Wear orange!
- Thursday, Feb. 26 – Books Boost Your Imagination Day: Dress as your favorite book character or superhero.
- Friday, Feb. 27 – Pajama Day: Roll out of bed and come as you are — PJs welcome!
FAMILY READING NIGHT – FEB. 25
Get ready to unleash your inner superhero! Join us in the MUR on Wednesday, Feb. 25, from 6:00 –7:30 pm for Family Reading Night, themed Super Heroes, Super Families, Super Readers. We'll have 7 fun activity stations, free popcorn, and goodie bags, plus the Lake County Library Bookmobile will be on-site! It's also the opening night of the Book Fair, with a mini fair in the MUR and the full fair open in the KES Library from 6:00–7:30 pm.
SPRING BOOK FAIR – FEB. 25 - MAR. 6
Our Book Fair kicks off at Family Reading Night on Tuesday, Feb. 25, and students will be able to shop in person at the library through Thursday, Mar. 6! Students will have a designated shopping time, and are welcome to shop all week after school from 2:00 - 3:00 pm. The fair is also available online through Monday, Mar. 10. You can visit our website here to preview books, load your child's e-wallet for cash-free shopping, or browse and buy online.
REMINDER: BEAT THE BELL!
School starts at 7:55 am, so we recommend arriving between 7:30 and 7:50 am to give your child time to settle in before class begins. Morning supervision starts at 7:30 am in the MUR Building and moves outdoors at 7:40 am. If you arrive after 8:00 am, please check in at the front office. Thanks for helping us start each day on time!

- Girl Scouts Free Events – Feb. 22 & 26 at Lower Lake Town Hall and Middletown Square
Girl Scouts of Northern California is hosting two free drop-in events for families to explore scouting, make friends, and have fun. Volunteers are also wanted! The 22nd Annual Father-Daughter Dance includes a flower, keepsake photo, sweet treat box, and raffle prizes! Tickets are $25 per couple ($10 per additional ticket) and are available at Studebakers or online here.
