January 23, 2026: Principal's Note

LOTS OF LAYERS! 
We're seeing quite a temperature swing these days; chilly mornings that warm up to the 70s by afternoon. Dressing your child in layers will help them stay comfortable throughout the day. Please also remind them to check for their jackets and sweatshirts before leaving each afternoon.

BEAT THE BELL! 
School starts at 7:55 am, so we recommend arriving between 7:30 and 7:50 am to give your child time to settle in before class begins. Morning supervision starts at 7:30 am in the MUR Building and moves outdoors at 7:40 am. If you arrive after 8:00 am, please check in at the front office. Thanks for helping us start each day on time!

LCOE ATTENDANCE CHALLENGE – MONTHLY DRAWINGS! 
We’re celebrating showing up and learning together! If your child has one day or less of absence each month, they're automatically entered into a drawing for awesome prizes during our monthly assemblies.  We know life happens, so even one missed day still gets you entered. Let's do our best to be here and learn together!

REMINDERS 

• Sora Reading App – Thousands of books are available through your child's ClassLink account.
• Lost and Found – Please swing by the east side of the main building to check for any missing items.
• Keeping Campus Clean – Please remind your child to toss trash in the bins around campus so our school stays clean and welcoming for all.
