NO SCHOOL MONDAY, JAN. 19 – MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. DAY
KVUSD schools will be closed on Monday, January 19, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. As we honor Dr. King’s legacy, we reflect on his teachings of love, compassion, and treating every person with fairness and respect. These are values we strive to instill in our students every day as we work toward a more just and equitable future for all.
WEDNESDAY, JAN. 21 – REGULAR DISMISSAL @ 2:00 PM
Students will be dismissed at our regular time of 2:00 pm on Wednesday, Jan. 21. We'll return to our minimum Wednesday schedule the following week.
BEAT THE BELL!
School starts at 7:55 am, so we recommend arriving between 7:30 and 7:50 am to give your child time to settle in before class begins. Morning supervision starts at 7:30 am in the MUR Building and moves outdoors at 7:40 am. If you arrive after 8:00 am, please check in at the front office. Thanks for helping us start each day on time!
REMINDERS
- Sora Reading App – Thousands of books are available through your child's ClassLink account.
- Lost and Found – Please swing by the east side of the main building to check for any missing items.
- Keeping Campus Clean – Please remind your child to toss trash in the bins around campus so our school stays clean and welcoming for all.
LCOE ATTENDANCE CHALLENGE – MONTHLY DRAWINGS!
We’re celebrating showing up and learning together! If your child has one day or less of absence each month, they're automatically entered into a drawing for awesome prizes during our monthly assemblies. We know life happens, so even one missed day still gets you entered. Let's do our best to be here and learn together!
