SPRING BREAK – APRIL 6-10
Have a wonderful spring break! We'll see you back on campus on Monday, April 13. And here's a perfect way to spend some of that downtime: dive into a great book! April is National Library Month, so it's the ideal time to grab some awesome reads and keep those reading skills sharp.
THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING OUR SCHOOL!
Thank you to our amazing PTO for organizing our bingo night fundraiser, and thank you to our community for coming out and supporting our school. We are so grateful for you!
PINWHEEL GARDEN CHALLENGE
April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and we're participating in a pinwheel garden challenge hosted by LCOE to raise awareness for this important cause. We're collecting pinwheels to display in front of our school. Please bring your pinwheels (especially blue ones!) to the office no later than April 14th.

COUNSELOR’S CORNER - APRIL
This season is a great reminder of growth and new opportunities. Students are also moving into the final stretch of the school year. With the warmer weather, longer days, and blooming flowers comes the excitement and anticipation for summer. This is an important time to help students stay focused, confident, and motivated to finish the year strong.
Families can support their students during this time by maintaining consistent routines, encouraging effort, and checking in about their day. Small conversations about school, friendships, and feelings help children feel supported. Try This At-Home SEL Activity: “Rose, Bud, Thorn”. This simple reflection activity helps students talk about their day and practice emotional awareness. At dinner or bedtime, ask your student to share:
- Rose – Something good that happened today
- Bud – Something they are looking forward to
- Thorn – Something that was challenging
This is a great activity to encourage your student to reflect, communicate their feelings, and problem-solve with an adult. We are thankful for our amazing students and families and truly appreciate the support you give our school community. Let’s continue working together to help our students finish the year strong!
