MAP TESTING BEGINS NEXT WEEK 
MAP testing begins next week! Testing helps us understand where students are academically and measure their growth over time. To help your child shine, please ensure they get plenty of rest and eat a healthy breakfast. Encourage them to stay positive,  read directions carefully,  and double-check their answers.

MISSING SCHOOL? LET US KNOW! 
If your student will be missing school around the holidays, please contact the office so we can arrange Independent Study. This helps us support their learning while they’re away. Thank you for helping us keep students on track!

LOOK OUT FOR REPORT CARDS 
Report cards will be sent home with students on December 8th. Please keep an eye out for them in your child’s backpack!

COUNSELOR’S CORNER 
As we transition into the holiday season, this time can be exciting, joyful, and overwhelming all at once. This month is an excellent opportunity to support your student’s emotional well-being and stay connected as a family.
If your student feels overwhelmed, try:

• Naming the feeling together (“It looks like you’re feeling…”)
• Taking a few slow breaths
• Offering a quiet space to calm down
• Keeping transitions slow and predictable

This month, our classroom lesson will focus on diversity and celebrating what makes each of us unique. We will explore the idea that while we may all look, think, or celebrate the holidays differently, we share many similarities that connect us. 

GIVING TREE GIFTS – DUE DEC. 19
Thank you to everyone who has picked a name from our Giving Tree! We still have some tags on the tree with students you can purchase gifts for. Wrapped gifts are due back to the office by December 19th, and if you’d like to grab a tag next week, please stop by or call the office.

ELF STORE – DEC. 15 -19 
The Elf Store will be open December 15–19 in the library! Students can shop for gifts before school, during recess, and after school. You can set up your child’s e-wallet for easier shopping, with items available at every price point.

TWILIGHT WITH SANTA – DEC. 18 
Mark your calendars for Twilight with Santa on December 18th from 5:30 to 8:00 pm! Enjoy breakfast for dinner, crafts, cozy storytime, photos with Santa, and even snow every 30 minutes. Stay tuned for more details.

HOLIDAY SING ALONG – DEC. 18 
Our students will be spreading holiday cheer with a school-wide sing-along on December 18th from 1:00 to 2:00 pm in the cafeteria. Each grade level will perform songs for the school. We welcome families to join us, space permitting!
