Bullying Information

Hazing of students or bullying of any kind is prohibited. Occurrences of any type, including name-calling or verbal threats, will be treated as a serious infraction. “Bullying” means systematically and chronically inflicting physical hurt or psychological distress on one or more students or employees.

Bullying may involve, but is not limited to:

  • Unwanted teasing
  • Threatening
  • Intimidating
  • Stalking
  • Cyberstalking
  • Cyberbullying
  • Physical violence
  • Theft
  • Sexual, religious, or racial harassment
  • Public humiliation
  • Destruction of school or personal property,
  • Social exclusion, including incitement and/or coercion
  • Rumors or spreading of falsehoods.

Appropriate steps to address the concern of bullying, hazing, or harassment include investigations, interventions along with disciplinary sanctions and due processes for a person who commits an act of bullying, hazing, or harassment.
