NO SCHOOL, MEMORIAL DAY – MONDAY, MAY 25
There will be no school on Monday, May 25th, in observance of Memorial Day. We honor and remember the brave individuals who gave their lives in service to our country.
CLASS OF 2031 PARENT MEETING – MAY 26
Parents of current 7th graders, save the date! We're holding our first Class of 2031 Parent Meeting on Tuesday, May 26, at 5:30 pm in the Library. This gathering is a chance to get together and learn what's ahead as our students transition to 8th grade next year. We'll discuss promotion activities, fundraising opportunities for the class promotion dance, and how we can work together to support our students. This is our first meeting as the Class of 2031, so it's a great time to connect with other families and get involved!
8TH GRADE PARENTS' MEETING – MAY 28
This is our final parents' meeting before the 8th grade promotion and dance! Join us on Thursday, May 28 at 5:30 pm in the Library for important discussions about final decisions and planning for the year-end celebration. We're also looking for volunteers to help set up and clean up for the dance. There are lots of opportunities to get involved, so if you're interested in lending a hand, please call the office at 707-279-4060!

SUMMER SCHOOL REGISTRATION
Request a registration form from your child's teacher or the front office. Forms are due to the office by June 1st. Our summer program runs from July 6–31, from 7:30 am to 12:30 pm. Please note: we're using paper forms this year, so there's no online registration. Questions? Reach out to Mrs. Frazell at sfrazell@kvusd.org for all the details.
CONSTRUCTION SAFETY REMINDER
There is ongoing construction down the street where a new sidewalk is being installed from KHS to MVMS and KES. During this time, it's important that we all prioritize the safety of our students. We ask drivers to be extra aware of children crossing and to pay close attention to stop signs and construction zones. We encourage your child to use the temporary crosswalk we have in place and remind them of proper road crossing safety—looking both ways before crossing. Please reinforce these safety habits with your child as we continue through the end of the year.

If you have any questions, please reach out to your student’s teacher or contact me at rkale@kvusd.org.
