VALENTINE SPIRIT WEEK – FEB. 9-13
Get ready for Valentine Spirit Week next week! Here's the dress-up schedule:

• Monday, Feb. 9 – Twin Day: Dress as a duo or trio with your friends!
• Tuesday, Feb. 10 – Decade Day: Show off your favorite decade's style.
• Wednesday, Feb. 11 – Anti-Valentine Day: Anything but hearts or flowers - rock an all-black look!
• Thursday, Feb. 12 – Country vs. City: Choose your style!
• Friday, Feb. 13 – Wear Red or Pink: Show your Valentine's spirit!

VALENTINE DANCE – FEB. 13
Join us for the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Valentine Dance on Friday, Feb. 13, from 6:00-8:00 pm in the gym. Tickets are for sale at the office and at the door for $5, and snacks will be available for purchase.

SPRING SPORTS TRYOUTS
Spring sports season is here! Tryout dates and times are listed below:

• Co-Ed Soccer: February 23 & 24 | 3:30 pm
• Softball: February 23 & 24 | 3:30 pm
• Co-Ed Track & Field: March 2 & 3 | 3:30 pm

Sports physicals must be submitted to the MVMS Athletics Google Classroom before trying out. All MVMS athletics paperwork is due on or before February 20 (paperwork only needs to be submitted once per school year, so if your physical was submitted earlier this year, no need to resubmit). Physical packets are available in the school office or in the MVMS Athletics Google Classroom (code: j3msmxhr). For any questions, please contact Allison at apanella@kvusd.org.

WINTER WELLNESS 
As cold and flu season continues, please remind your student to wash their hands regularly, avoid touching their face, and respect others’ personal space. If your student needs to miss school due to illness, please call the office to let us know. Thank you for helping keep our school community healthy.

ATTENDANCE WINNERS – JANUARY
Congratulations to Isabella Lutz, Josephine Tanti, and Amelia Darling for missing just one day or fewer of school during January! These students were entered into our monthly attendance raffle and won some awesome prizes. Keep up the great attendance, Lancers – the February raffle is right around the corner!

GIRLS BASKETBALL CHAMPS!
Congratulations to both our A team and B team girls' basketball for taking 1st place at their recent tournament! Special shoutout to our three All-League winners from the A-team. The A team has one more tournament coming up this weekend, Feb. 6-7. View the calendar here to catch the remaining boys and girls basketball games!
