HELPING STUDENTS MAKE HEALTHY CHOICES
E-cigarettes (vapes) often contain nicotine and other toxic chemicals, which can negatively affect brain development, memory, attention, and mental health. If your student is vaping, supportive conversations, clear expectations, and encouraging healthy ways to handle stress can make a big difference.
We also offer free online counseling for vaping through the CA Department of Education. Please contact your student’s counselor, and we can help get you connected. Together, we can help students stay informed, safe, and healthy. Learn more and find additional support here.
RIGHT PLACE, RIGHT TIME
Being on time to class every period sets students up for success. When students arrive late, they can miss important instructions, fall behind on assignments, and disrupt the flow of learning from themselves and others.
As we head into our final week before Winter Break, we kindly ask families to talk with their students about the importance of getting to class on time and building good habits to support their success. Thank you for your partnership!

The Polly Klaas Foundation is offering free workshops to help keep our teens safe online and in the real world. Topics include the real consequences of sexting and sex trafficking, the dangers of running away, and how to spot red flags in online behavior. Workshops include childcare, free dinner, and are open to all families. The first workshop will be on Jan. 8, 2026, so save the date! Learn more and RSVP here.
